UK Dredging has been providing quality assured, professional hydrographic and bathymetric surveys for over 20 years. UK Dredging's Hydrographic Survey department specialises in port, coastal and inland surveys both independently and in support of UKD's dredging activities.
UKD Survey aims to provide a total hydrographic survey service tailored to the individual client's needs. Post-processing and chart production can normally be undertaken while on site. This enables an efficient turnaround of accurate data and gives the client the opportunity to discuss the survey results, allowing for further data analysis in the form of volume calculations and seabed profiling. This is backed up by full reporting and quality assurance procedures.
UKD Survey maintains the personnel and equipment to provide mobile hydrographic surveying services. Utilising RTK positioning systems, multibeam and singlebeam echo sounders, motion sensors, sound velocity profilers and geotechnical probes, UKD Survey is capable of running operations independently of any local support and existing infrastructure. The department operates from our Cardiff office, but its fully mobile capability enables operations across the UK and beyond.
UKD Survey operate a fully equipped, road transportable survey launch "UKD Resolution", together with survey software package enables UKD Survey to offer a highly responsive and accurate service to customers.
